Annual Well Woman/Teen Visit
The purpose of your Annual Well Woman/Teen visit is a comprehensive review and evaluation of current, already familiar, health conditions for improvement or deterioration. Also, this visit is designed to discover any totally new problems that may have developed since your previous annual visit that aren’t obvious.
The annual visit is distinguished from “problem visits” which are very focused and limited to helping you with a new acute health problem such as new pain, abnormal vaginal bleeding or other new concern.
This comprehensive Well Woman/Teen Office Visit is expected to take 40-60 minutes and is usually scheduled with Mariya or Evelyn, our Nurse Practitioners. They will confer with Dr. Smith about your healthcare when necessary and Dr. Smith always reviews your health records and tests for each visit. A letter is mailed to you with the results of any testing within two working days of receiving those results. You will be phoned about any abnormal results on the same day they are received, if there is a health problem that needs urgent attention.
