Fat Transfer

Fat transfer is done in conjunction with liposuction. Fat that is suctioned from one area is saved and at the end of the liposuction, injected into another area. Most frequently it is taken from the abdomen and used to enhance the buttocks. It can also be used for breast augmentation or to correct facial atrophy similar to a filler. Thus, using the fat in this way is a totally natural method for making these enhancements. Typically the surgeon will create about 40% more volume than ultimately desired because there is about 40% volume loss over several months.
